DAMAC Hills is a large freehold villa and apartment community built by DAMAC Properties in Dubailand, arranged around the Trump International Golf Club. It is one of the few communities in Dubai organised around a championship golf course, and it should not be confused with its larger, separate neighbour, DAMAC Hills 2.

A short history

DAMAC Hills sits in the Al Hebiah 3 area of Dubailand. Its golf course, Trump International Golf Club Dubai, was designed by Gil Hanse, formally opened in February 2017, and had its back nine holes fitted with floodlights in 2023. The course runs to 7,205 yards at a par of 71. DAMAC owns the golf club; it is managed and operated in partnership with the Trump Organization. In November 2020 the community also opened what it describes as the first residential wave pool in the UAE.

DAMAC Hills 2, formerly marketed as Akoya Oxygen, is a separate and larger DAMAC development nearby, announced in 2014, with its own Tiger Woods designed golf course. The two communities share a developer and a naming pattern but are not the same place, which is why people increasingly search "DAMAC Hills 1" when they mean to be specific about the original community.

Villa clusters and sub-communities

DAMAC Hills is divided into named clusters rather than numbered districts. Golf Town and Golf Greens sit closest to the golf course itself, Rockwood and Belair, the latter managed in partnership with Trump Estates, are among the villa clusters further out, and the community also includes clusters known as Rochester, Pelham, Trinity, Queens Meadow, Brookfield, Topanga, The Field and Whitefield, along with apartment buildings such as Golf Vista and Golf Vita overlooking the course.

Getting around

DAMAC Hills has no metro station. Residents rely on the road network, principally Al Qudra Road, which runs along the community and connects it to Sheikh Zayed Road and the rest of Dubai. This is a driving community, and most trips into central Dubai take the better part of half an hour.
