What is the status of Palm Jebel Ali?

The island has had a long history. Work began in 2002 and halted after the 2008 financial crisis. The project was relaunched in May 2023 and construction restarted in 2024. In August 2026 Nakheel released 44 more beachfront villas on Frond F, in five, six and seven bedroom layouts, and reports say the first villas will be handed over in phases from late 2026 through 2027.
