Global Village Dubai Guide: Season, Tickets and Getting There

Global Village Dubai is a seasonal park of national pavilions, street food, shows and rides that opens each autumn and runs into spring. Season 31 (2026/27) runs from 14 October 2026 to May 2027, with general entry listed at AED 30 on the official Global Village website on 4 November 2026. This guide covers the season, opening hours, tickets, the RTA bus routes, parking and rules, then looks at which communities make an evening trip easy if you are choosing where to rent or buy. Browse the Dubai area guides to compare neighbourhoods.

When is Global Village Dubai open?

Global Village is a seasonal attraction, so it is closed for part of the year. The official site lists Season 31 as 14 October 2026 to May 2027 so check the website near the end of the season for the final date before planning a trip. Opening hours listed on the site are below, as shown on 4 November 2026.

DayOpening hours
Sunday to Wednesday4:00 PM to 12:00 AM
Thursday to Saturday4:00 PM to 1:00 AM
Public holidays4:00 PM to 1:00 AM
Tuesday (except public holidays)Reserved for ladies and families

Because the park opens in the late afternoon, most visitors arrive after work or school. Many residents go on a Tuesday for the quieter family day, or on a weekday when entry is cheaper.

How much are Global Village tickets?

The official ticket page lists these prices, VAT included, as shown on 4 November 2026. Prices can change by season, so confirm on the website before you buy.

Ride passes, events and WonderPass attractions are not included in general entry and are bought separately. Rides on the Carnaval run on a points system: the official page showed the Arabian Horses family ride at 15 points per person with a minimum height of 110 cm, and the Athens Slingshot at 75 points per person with a minimum height of 140 cm.

What is there to do at Global Village?

The park is built around national pavilions. The official site highlights the Americas Pavilion, with its colonial arches and Statue of Liberty display, and the Bahrain Pavilion, with its Gulf style architecture. Alongside the pavilions you will find:

  • Street food from many countries, including stalls selling freshly sliced exotic fruit and juices.
  • Stage shows on the Main Stage. For example, the site listed a Sri Lanka Show, an Americas Show and a Lebanon Show on 4 November 2026, and a light show the same evening. Timings may change without notice.
  • Carnaval rides for families and thrill seekers, paid by points.
  • Shopping across the pavilions, which is the main reason many people return each season.

Plan on a full evening. The park is large and the gates, car parks and pavilions are spread out, so wear comfortable shoes.

How do you get to Global Village by public transport?

During the season the official Plan Your Visit page lists four bus routes. Service typically runs from 3:15 PM to 11:15 PM daily, with about 30 minutes of travel time. For stops and timetables the page asks visitors to call 800 9090.

RouteStarts from
Bus 102CentrePoint Metro Station
Bus 103Union Metro Station, via Al Rebat Street
Bus 104Ghubaiba Bus Station, via Max Fashion Metro Station
Bus 106Mall of Emirates Metro Station

The metro stations above are boarding points for the buses rather than direct stops at the park. Careem, Uber and RTA taxis are also listed as options. If you live far from these stations, a taxi or your own car is the simpler choice for a late return.

Where do you park at Global Village?

The official page lists several car parks, with prices as shown on 4 November 2026:

  • Paid Parking: AED 120 per day, weekdays and weekends.
  • Paid Parking 2: AED 75 per day, about 350 metres from Happiness Gate.
  • VIP Parking: free for VIP pack holders, otherwise AED 200 per day.
  • P1, P3 and P5: free, about 400 to 450 metres from Gate of the World.
  • P7 to P11: free, but only on weekends, public holidays and busy days. They are about 1 km from Cultural Gate, with a free shuttle bus or a rickshaw from AED 10.

The site also lists off-site options, POD Parking and Al Fursan. Arrive early on Thursdays, Fridays and holidays, when the free car parks fill first.

What are the rules at Global Village?

The official visitor rules include the following:

  • Modest dress is requested.
  • Pets are not permitted.
  • Public displays of affection should be avoided.
  • Filming requires a permit.
  • Segways, scooters, bicycles, hoverboards, skateboards and roller skates are not allowed.
  • Tuesdays, except public holidays, are for families, couples and ladies.

Read the full list on the Global Village website before you go, as rules can be updated each season.

Which communities are convenient for Global Village?

If you go to Global Village often, the drive from home matters, because the park is easiest to reach by car and trips finish late. Families who want family sized homes and weekend outings on this side of the city often look at the Dubailand communities and the areas around them. Compare these pages for homes, rents and area details:

  • Dubai Land for the wider Dubailand district, with apartments, townhouses and villas.
  • Arjan for modern apartments and a quieter residential feel.
  • Villanova and Serena for townhouse communities.
  • The Valley for newer family communities.
  • Mirdif for an established family area with schools and parks.

Check the drive time to the park gates on a map at 6 PM and 11 PM before you commit, because evening traffic differs from the daytime. Our area pages show current listings and sold prices, so you can compare homes alongside the commute.

Is Global Village a good reason to choose a home near it?

A seasonal park should not be the only reason you choose a home, but it can be a useful tiebreaker. Think about how you will actually use it. If you visit a handful of times a season, a longer drive is fine. If you plan weekly visits, or you work a pavilion or stall, a shorter route saves time. Whatever you choose, look at the daily commute, schools, parking at your building and the cost of the tenancy, not just the weekend outing. If you are renting, our guide to 1 bedroom apartments for rent in Dubai lists what is available today, and Dubai Land Department fees explains the costs when buying.

Tips for a smooth visit

  • Buy tickets on the official website to avoid queues, and use the weekday ticket if you can visit Monday to Thursday.
  • Go early in the season for cooler evenings and quieter paths, or on a Tuesday for the family day.
  • Note your gate and car park number before you walk in, since the park has several gates and car parks.
  • Carry a card and some cash, and keep your ride points for the attractions you care about most.
  • If you use the RTA buses, check the timetable on the day, as services can change.
  • Leave larger items at home, and remember that scooters, bicycles and similar items are not allowed.

Which day is best to visit?

The answer depends on who is going. Weekdays from Monday to Thursday carry the cheaper AED 25 ticket and tend to be calmer than the weekend, which helps with queues for rides and for the most popular food stalls. Tuesday is set aside for ladies and families, which suits visitors who prefer a quieter atmosphere. Thursday to Saturday the park stays open until 1:00 AM, so it suits a late night out with friends. Public holidays follow the longer weekend hours, and the Any Day ticket applies, so expect more people and plan to arrive early for a free car park.

Whatever day you choose, check the shows list on the official website the same afternoon, because timings can change without notice. If you want to see a particular pavilion, look at the park map in advance and walk the far side first, then work back towards your exit gate as the crowds build.
