The best parks in Dubai are the large public parks run by Dubai Municipality: Zabeel Park, Safa Park, Creek Park, Mushrif National Park, Al Mamzar Beach Park and Quranic Park. Dubai Municipality oversees more than 220 public parks and recreational facilities, so almost every community has a green space within a short drive. This guide goes through the main parks, what official sources say about each, and which communities sit nearby if you are choosing where to rent or buy.
Dubai Municipality names five parks as its major parks: Zabeel Park, Mushrif National Park, Al Safa Park, Al Mamzar Beach Park and Creek Park. In its 2024 figures, those five parks received a combined 6.69 million visitors, while Quranic Park, a separate municipal park, received 1.8 million. In the first half of 2025 the five major parks received 3.7 million visitors and Quranic Park about 813,000, according to Dubai Municipality figures released in August 2025.
Those numbers are a fair guide to what residents actually use. The six parks below are the ones to start with, and the table shows what the official pages say about each and which of our area pages cover the nearby neighbourhoods.
| Park | What official sources say | Communities nearby (our area pages) |
|---|---|---|
| Zabeel Park | One of the five major municipal parks. Visit Dubai describes it as a place for picnics and photographs, with the Dubai Frame beside it. | Zabeel, Al Karama, Oud Metha |
| Safa Park | One of the five major municipal parks. | Al Safa, Al Wasl, City Walk |
| Creek Park | One of the five major municipal parks. Visit Dubai describes family entertainment by the water, including go-karting and mini golf. | Dubai Creek Harbour, Al Garhoud |
| Mushrif National Park | One of the five major municipal parks. A Dubai Municipality notice also lists a mountain bike track here. | Mirdif, Al Mizhar |
| Al Mamzar Beach Park | One of the five major municipal parks. Dubai Municipality lists it as a beach park open to the public. | Al Qusais, Al Twar |
| Quranic Park | A separate municipal park with 1.8 million visitors in 2024. It is also certified as an autism-friendly attraction. | Al Khawaneej, Al Warqa |
Which communities sit nearest each park is our own reading of the map, not an official statement, so check the drive time before you commit to a tenancy.
Searches for free parks in Dubai are common, but we do not state entry fees here because the official pages we opened do not list them. Dubai Municipality's own page on its centres says they do not require an entrance fee except for fees related to requested services, and gives no park by park prices. Some attractions inside or beside parks are separate, such as the Dubai Frame, which has its own visitor count and hours. Before you plan a day, check the current entry arrangements for the specific park on dm.gov.ae or call the Municipality.
A simple rule works well in practice: walking, picnics and open lawns are the core of a municipal park visit, while go-karting, rides, tours and special events are priced separately by whoever runs them.
Hours change, so treat any list as a snapshot. Two official data points, with dates:
For today's hours, use the Dubai Municipality website or app. Hours often shift for Ramadan, Eid and events.
Zabeel Park is the obvious choice if you live in central Dubai. Visit Dubai promotes it for peaceful picnics and picture-perfect moments, and the Dubai Frame sits beside it. The Dubai Frame is a separate Municipality attraction with 1.59 million visitors in 2024.
If you want to live within easy reach, Zabeel and Al Karama are established central neighbourhoods, and Oud Metha sits close by. Read each area page for the Dubai Land Department sold prices and current listings.
Safa Park is the large municipal park on this side of the city. It is one of the five major parks, and Dubai Municipality lists it among the parks certified as autism-friendly.
The communities around it include Al Safa and Al Wasl, two established residential areas, and City Walk, a newer apartment district. If a park walk before work is your priority, this is the part of the city to browse first. Our Al Wasl guide covers living there in more detail.
Creek Park is the family-friendly option by the water. Visit Dubai highlights go-karting and mini golf among its activities. For homes close to the Creek side of the city, look at Dubai Creek Harbour, which has its own waterfront and open spaces, and Al Garhoud, a long-established residential area. Our guide to whether Dubai Creek Harbour is a good place to live gives the day to day picture.
Mushrif National Park and Quranic Park both serve the eastern side of the city. Mushrif has a mountain bike track according to a Dubai Municipality notice, and Quranic Park is among the most visited municipal sites outside the five major parks.
Families often look at Mirdif, Al Khawaneej and Al Warqa for larger homes with more space. See best villa communities in Dubai for families for the wider comparison.
Dubai Municipality reports that eight of its parks and attractions have earned Certified Autism Center status from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards: Dubai Frame, Children's City, Quranic Park, Al Mamzar Beach Park, Mushrif National Park, Creek Park, Zabeel Park and Safa Park. The improvements it lists include designated parking near entrances, clearer signage, sensory-friendly areas and quiet rooms, wheelchair-accessible paths and ramps, and priority entrances. Children's City is a separate facility with over 112,000 visitors in 2024.
Dubai Municipality reported 1.49 million users on its cycling, mountain biking and pedestrian tracks in 2024. It also supports the Dubai Walk initiative, which aims to expand pedestrian-friendly public spaces. For walkers and runners, that means a park next door matters more than the size of the biggest park across town.
If you cycle, Mushrif National Park is the municipal park with a mountain bike track, and the desert route at Al Qudra is covered in our separate Al Qudra Lake guide.
A park within a short walk changes daily life more than most amenities, especially with children or a dog. When comparing two areas, count the minutes on foot to the nearest green space, not just the distance on a map. Our guides on family friendly communities, pet friendly communities and the best areas to live in Dubai help you weigh this against rent, commute and school runs.
Often, yes. Many newer master communities have landscaped parks of their own. Those may be run by the developer or the owners association rather than the Municipality, so the rules and hours may differ. When you view a home, ask who manages the nearest park and what the service charge covers; our guide to owners associations and service charges explains how that works.
The short answers are in the FAQ below. For a home near any of these parks, start with the area pages linked above or browse our Jumeirah and Mirdif pages for current listings.

The main ones are Zabeel Park, Safa Park, Creek Park, Mushrif National Park and Al Mamzar Beach Park, which Dubai Municipality calls its five major parks, plus Quranic Park. Dubai Municipality oversees more than 220 public parks and recreational facilities in total.
We do not list fees because the official pages we opened do not give park prices. Dubai Municipality states that its centres do not require an entrance fee except for fees related to requested services. Check dm.gov.ae for the park you plan to visit, and note that separate attractions such as go-karting are priced by their operators.
They change by season and holiday. Dubai Municipality's page lists Al Mamzar Beach Park as open every day from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm (read on 4 November 2026). Eid Al Fitr 2023 hours for the other major parks were 8:00 am to 11:00 pm, but those were holiday hours for that year. Check the Municipality website or app for today.
